Cleanroom HVAC System Coordination

Cleanroom HVAC controls airflow, filtration, temperature, humidity and pressure; AILV coordinates enclosure and HVAC interfaces to approved design requirements.

Cleanroom HVAC System Coordination by AILV

Typical Scope

Scope Item Project Inputs Responsibilities to Agree
Room design inputs Room use, process heat or moisture loads and approved environmental requirements Identify design responsibility for airflow, filtration, temperature, humidity and pressure, then coordinate the enclosure with that design.
Supply, return and ceiling interfaces Supply, return and HEPA-terminal dimensions, duct routes, openings, supports and maintenance access Review the selected ceiling, sealing, insulation and condensation interfaces against approved drawings and trade responsibilities.
Testing and handover Balancing or test requirements, access and approved acceptance criteria Assign measurements, records, witnesses and deviation closure; panel installation alone does not establish HVAC performance.

Project Boundary

When selecting a cleanroom HVAC design contractor, confirm who sets the design basis, selects equipment and verifies room targets. AILV coordinates agreed enclosure interfaces; the project proposal identifies engineering, installation, testing and local-work responsibilities. Review the project delivery scope before appointing the responsible system contractor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a panel determine room pressure or cleanliness?

No. Panels and sealed openings are part of the enclosure; room conditions also depend on the air system, process and operation. Design and testing must address the project requirements. See the enclosure system interfaces.

Which ceiling details need HVAC coordination?

Provide terminal and return-air layouts, dimensions, access needs and support details. The approved drawings must identify support and sealing responsibilities rather than assume that any ceiling panel can carry the equipment. Review the return-air wall option where relevant.
