A cleanroom enclosure package brings together the room’s wall and ceiling panels, doors, windows and connecting details. It is not automatically a complete operating cleanroom. The quotation should identify the supplied construction, accessories, drawings and installation responsibilities, with HVAC, utilities, testing and wider project work explicitly included or excluded.
What Should the Package List?
Use the following as a scope discussion, not a promise that every item is included. Ask the supplier to mark each line included, excluded or awaiting confirmation.
| Package Element | Enclosure Items to List | Confirm Separately |
|---|---|---|
| Walls & Ceilings | Panel construction, dimensions, facing, core, finish and joint arrangement. | Room layout, spans, openings and configuration-specific documentation. |
| Doors, Windows & Accessories | Frames, glazing, hardware, profiles, coving, fasteners and sealants. | Quantities, opening sizes, compatibility and installation consumables. |
| Supports & Loads | The proposed ceiling support and connection arrangement. | Structural design, fixings to the building and responsibility for service or access loads. |
| HVAC & Utilities | Agreed openings and enclosure sealing interfaces. | Equipment, ductwork, pipes, controls, supports and system design. |
| Site Work & Handover | Agreed packing, identification and supply documents. | Unloading, lifting, installation, inspections, commissioning and qualification. |

Why Must the Enclosure and HVAC Be Reviewed Together?
Separate purchasing packages still have shared interfaces. Chang and colleagues surveyed twelve pharmaceutical cleanrooms and developed pressure-response simulations. Their model identified enclosure airtightness and supply-air accuracy as important factors during dynamic pressure disturbances. This is a coordination lesson, not an AILV product test or a pressure specification for every facility. Research source [1].
The public scope of ISO 14644-4:2022 [2] follows requirements through design, construction and start-up. It does not prescribe a particular contractual delivery model. Record who designs, supplies, installs and verifies each interface.
How Does AILV Define the Supply Boundary?
As a cleanroom enclosure supplier, AILV manufactures wall and ceiling panels and coordinates doors, windows and connecting components. Compare handmade and machine-made formats and the construction system. Request an enclosure package quote with the quantities and required accessories; installation or EPC work needs a separately agreed scope and responsibilities.
Package Questions
Does panel supply include installation?
Not by default. Agree labour, supervision, tools, lifting, access, sealing and inspection responsibilities. See installation and site support.
Are ceiling panels automatically walkable?
No. Access loads, spans, supports and fixings require an approved design for the selected configuration. Do not infer a load rating from panel thickness or appearance.
Can I compare suppliers by price per square metre?
Only after aligning construction, quantities, accessories, site work and delivery boundaries. Use the enclosure quotation checklist to record outstanding items.
