Cleanroom panel packing and shipping should be planned alongside production, because finished surfaces, panel edges, labels and unloading sequences can all affect the condition of components when they reach site. AILV coordinates protective packing and delivery information according to the agreed panel scope, destination and handling requirements.

Why Cleanroom Panel Packing Matters

Cleanroom wall and ceiling panels have finished metal surfaces and project-specific edges that need protection from impact, abrasion, moisture and incorrect stacking. Packing also affects unloading, temporary storage and the order in which panels can be moved to their installation areas.

Typical Packing and Shipping Workflow

  1. Confirm the approved production scope. Panel types, dimensions, quantities, finishes, openings and accessories should match the latest approved schedule.
  2. Group components logically. Wall panels, ceiling panels, profiles, doors, windows and accessories can be grouped according to area, level or installation sequence when the project information is available.
  3. Protect finished surfaces. Surface film, interlayers, wrapping and suitable supports help reduce scratching and contamination during factory handling and transport.
  4. Protect edges and corners. Project-specific packing may include edge guards, corner protection, timber supports or other protective materials appropriate to the panel construction.
  5. Label the packages. Package numbers, panel references, quantities and destination areas help the receiving team check the delivery and locate components.
  6. Plan loading and unloading. Package dimensions, weights, container conditions, lifting methods and site access should be reviewed before dispatch.

Information Needed Before Packing Is Finalised

Project inputWhy it matters
Final panel schedule and drawingsConfirms quantities, sizes, openings and package grouping
Delivery destination and transport modeSupports packing, documentation and loading decisions
Site access and unloading methodHelps coordinate package size, weight and lifting points
Installation sequence or zone planAllows packages to be labelled and grouped more logically
Storage conditions at destinationIdentifies protection needed before installation begins
Required shipping documentsAligns package lists and commercial documentation with the agreed scope

Checks Before Cleanroom Panels Leave the Factory

Before dispatch, the agreed scope should be checked against the packing list and production records. Visible surfaces, package identification and the condition of protective materials can be reviewed within the confirmed inspection scope. Any project-specific witness inspection or document requirement should be agreed before shipment.

Receiving and Temporary Storage at Site

The receiving team should inspect packages for visible transport damage, verify package numbers against the delivery documents and follow the agreed unloading method. Panels should be stored on suitable level supports, protected from water and impact, and kept in their protective packaging until they are required for installation.
